Rauf, Pakistan’s strike pacer, allegedly mimicked the bringing down of an aircraft, a gesture seen as mocking India’s military operations. He also hurled abuses at young Indian openers Shubman Gill and Abhishek Sharma during his spell. Also, Rauf was the one who also chanted 6-0 even during the practice session on the eve of the Super Four clash and also while fielding on the boundary ropes. The 6-0 is a reference to Pakistan’s baseless claims that they downed six Indian fighter jets during the four-day scuffle following Operation Sindoor.
Sahibzada Farhan, meanwhile, pulled off a “gun-firing” celebration after reaching his half-century, raising his bat like a machine gun. Considering what all transpired between the two countries earlier this year, his celebration was quite provocative. Farhan even went on to claim that he doesn’t care how people would perceive his celebration, telling reporters, “That celebration was just a moment at that time. I don’t care how people take it.”
