Construction originally planned for earlier this week on Interstate 25 in Douglas County was delayed by rain, according to the Colorado Department of Transportation.
The construction will now shut down multiple I-25 lanes and ramps overnight on Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday, according to a news release from the agency. All closures are scheduled to lift by 6 a.m. the following morning.

Triple lane closures on northbound I-25 from Castle Pines Parkway to Ridgegate Parkway. The first lane will close at 6 p.m., the second at 8 p.m. and the third at 9 p.m., limiting traffic to one lane. A closure of the northbound I-25 off-ramp to Lincoln Avenue at 10 p.m. Drivers should detour to East County Line Road, enter southbound I-25 and use that exit for Lincoln Avenue. A closure of the westbound Ridgegate Parkway on-ramp to northbound I-25 at 10 p.m. Drivers should take South Peoria Street north to Lincoln Avenue to enter northbound I-25. Double lane closures on southbound I-25 from C-470 to Ridgegate Parkway. The first lane will close at 7 p.m. and the second lane will close at 8 p.m. The Lincoln Avenue on-ramps to southbound I-25 to be closed. The westbound Lincoln Avenue on-ramp will close at 6 p.m. and the eastbound Lincoln Avenue on-ramp will close at 8 p.m. Drivers should take South Peoria Street south to Ridgegate Parkway and head west to the I-25 on-ramp.
