Tom Brady can’t escape the headlines.
After causing controversy with his appearance in the Las Vegas Raiders’ coaching booth, this week the NFL legend is being slammed for his disparaging advice to Dallas Cowboys star George Pickens.

During the win, Cowboys wide receiver George Pickens was seen slamming his helmet after dropping a pass early in the fourth quarter.
It was at this point that Brady made the remark that caused uproar online.
“And [George Pickens] is not happy, yeah those moments can be… just like the dog at home,” the Las Vegas Raiders minority owner began.
“Kick the dog, throw the helmet, whatever it takes.”
The $375 million Fox analyst‘s decision to compare Pickens’ frustration to kicking a dog was questionable at best, and fans called the New England Patriots icon out over it.
“Tom Brady comparing a player slamming his helmet in anger to kicking your dog at home isn’t the color commentary I was expecting,” one user wrote on X.
“I definitely just heard Tom Brady talk about kicking dogs…comparing slamming your helmet on the ground to kicking your dog when you get home,” another user posted.
“What an odd thing to say,” one user wrote.
Infamous sports personality Skip Bayless also reacted, “I hope Brady didn’t go home after bad losses and angrily throw the dog.”

The pair’s old dog, Lua, passed away in 2023 and at the time Brady shared a heartfelt tribute to his beloved pet.
“We love you Lua, forever in our hearts.” Brady posted on Instagram.
Caleb Williams stars in Bears’ victory
Despite Brady’s odd remarks, Sunday’s game was very much the Caleb Williams show.
The sophomore quarterback, who was praised by Brady for his performance, threw for 298 yards and four touchdowns, which tied a career-high performance.
“It’s awesome,” the 2024 No.1 pick said after the game.
“The trust and belief and hard work and just all of it together, to be able to have that hard work for him and his family and the organization, this historic organization.
“It’s just a constant growth and mindset that we’re on. To have this moment for him and for us, it’s really important.”
Meanwhile, Ben Johnson, who went viral in Week 1 after his visible frustration at a Williams’ error, couldn’t contain his excitement after the Bears got their first win of the season.
“It will be fun for tonight, and we’re on to the next one,” Johnson said. “We’re behind the 8-ball here. We’re 1-2, and we’ve got to get back to .500 here.”
The Bears have the chance to level go .500 against Brady’s very own Las Vegas Raiders in Week 4.
