CeeDee Lamb left Sunday’s game against the Chicago Bears early after suffering a potentially-serious ankle injury during Cowboys’ 31-14 loss. The Cowboys lined up him as running back, and he got rolled up on by the defender as he was getting tackled.
He visited with the training staff in the blue tent, and actually went back into the game. However, after just one play, he gestured to the sideline and didn’t go back in the rest of the game.
While talking to reporters after the game, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said that Lamb was able to avoid a serious injury.
“Let’s just keep our fingers crossed,” Jones added.

While nothing has been confirmed on his injury, the fact that the initial diagnosis isn’t as bad as it could have been is some good news for the Cowboys. Up next for Dallas is a game at home against the Green Bay Packers and former Cowboys star Micah Parsons.
