Jack White had a very special guest at his Los Angeles show this week.
The rocker shared a new photo on Instagram with Al Pacino after the legendary actor came out to see White perform at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles on Tuesday, September 29.
In the shot, White, 51, is appropriately on-brand in a black long-sleeve shirt with white stripes running around the upper arm. Beside him is 86-year-old Pacino, looking considerably different from some of his most famous onscreen roles with a full gray beard, black sweater, and what appears to be a white hat.
View this post on Instagram“What an honor it was that the incredible Al Pacino came to see the show last night,” White wrote in the caption. “It was wonderful to be able to speak to him about how much I was inspired by his documentary ‘Looking for Richard’ about the enduring legacy and importance of Shakespeare’s Richard III.”
Fans got quite a kick out of the encounter.
“My vision is poor but legit thought Al Pacino was an elderly grandmother until I read the caption ?,” one fan wrote in the comments.
“Ok next time I say I’m too tired to go to a concert, I’m going to remember that Al Pacino still rocks out,” another joked.
“Al Pacino looks unrecognizable in this photo, but I loved him in Richard III,” a third said.“Amazing!!? when are you guys recording an album?” a fourth asked.

White was referring to Pacino’s 1996 directorial debut, Looking for Richard, which combined documentary filmmaking with performances from Shakespeare’s Richard III. Pacino starred as Richard while exploring how Shakespeare’s work could remain accessible and relevant to modern audiences. The film also starred Kevin Spacey, Alec Baldwin, and Winona Ryder.
As for White, the musician is currently in the middle of his Jack White Live 2026 Tour, supporting his seventh solo album, Frozen Charlotte, which arrived in July.
Following his two-night Hollywood Palladium run, White performed in Del Mar on September 30 before upcoming stops in Las Vegas, Phoenix, Albuquerque, and Austin.
