A woman was shot and killed at an apartment complex in North Hills Monday night, Sept. 15, and police were working to identify a suspect, authorities said.
Officers were called to the 9000 block of Orion Avenue, south of Nordhoff Street and just east of the 405 Freeway, about 11:30 p.m. on a report of shots being fired and found her suffering from gunshot wounds, Los Angeles Police spokeswoman Officer Rosario Cervantes said.
The woman, believed to be 25 to 35 years old, died at the scene, Cervantes said.
Video from RMG News, a freelance news organization that sometimes works with the Southern California News Group, shows officers and paramedics heading to the back of an apartment building.
Orion is lined with apartment complexes on the block where the woman was killed.
The woman’s identity was withheld by police pending notification of her relatives.
