ROCHESTER, N.Y. — News10NBC is working to learn more after one of our photojournalists saw at least eight car windows smashed on Brunswick Street in the Park Avenue neighborhood.
Our photojournalist saw broken glass on Monday morning. We’ve reached out to the Rochester Police Department for more information.
Last December, January, and February, News10NBC covered several sprees of car break-ins in the Rochester area. At one point, News10NBC learned about 40 break-ins that happened overnight around several Rochester neighborhoods. However, our crew hasn’t been hearing as many reports of car break-ins recently. The last case of car break-ins that News10NBC covered was in late May at the Culver Road Armory.
If your car is broken into, here’s some advice on how to report it, file an insurance claim, and why not to use duct tape to patch your window.
