AUSTIN (KXAN) -- One man is dead and one person is in custody after a homicide in downtown Austin Saturday morning, according to the Austin Police Department.
APD's Officer Aaron Townsend said the call came in about someone with injuries at the 800 block of Interstate Highway 35 Frontage Road at 3:20 a.m.
MAP: Where have Austin’s homicides occurred in 2025?Officers arrived on the scene at 3:24 a.m. and located a man with "obvious" trauma to his body, according to Townsend. APD and Austin-Travis County EMS performed life-saving measures, and the man was transported to a nearby hospital.
