News by : (Times of San Diego) -

The coveted Comic-Con badge is not as all-important as it once was. As the entire region gears up for the international pop culture celebration, plenty of surrounding businesses and institutions have Comic-Con related activities for those who weren’t able to snag a badge.

Outside the Convention Center doors and nearby activations, here are some things to do over the extended weekend.

You don’t have to fall down the rabbit hole, just a giant hedge keyhole off 534 Fifth Ave. at Kaluu, to experience Wonderland in a new, immersive popup “Alice in Wonderland: Down the Rabbit Hole.”

Ticketed guests will walk through multiple stages with costumed characters, interactive storytelling and surreal design before landing in a bar and lounge where the fantasy continues.
