In a clip posted to Interview Magazine’s Instagram, editor-in-chief Mel Ottenberg asked Earle what the most recent book she’d read.
The TikToker responded by saying, “I’ve never read a book. Like, maybe Dr. Seuss?”
The internet was shocked and immediately took to the comment section.
One user wrote, “Not having read a book since elementary school is not ditsy and cute, it’s embarrassing asf?.” Another posted, “PSA during this literacy crisis: READING MAKES YOU HOT AND COOL,” which received over 200 likes.
Almost every comment was negative regarding her lack of reading or disliking the entire interview.
Ottenberg also asked the Earle Meets World for her take on the internet-wide debate regarding bringing an iced coffee to a job interview.
“I don’t really see a problem with that,” she said, sipping on an iced beverage. “I guess that’s a Gen Z problem.”
Ottenberg also asked Earle if she would consider getting back together with an ex. She firmly told him no, but when he asked, “What was the last lie you’ve told?” she replied, “Probably that… I’m kidding.”
Earle publicly dated New York Giants wide receiver Braxton Berrios, whom she dubbed “NFL man.” They were together for two years before they split in December 2025.
In her Netflix reality series, Earle Meets World, she was seen trying to get back with him. Earle called the athlete, asking him if he would ever consider a second try.
