According to a new report shared by NBC News, life behind bars might not be as difficult as it could be for Sean “Diddy” Combs, the 56-year-old rapper who is reportedly spending thousands of dollars a month to serve out a more comfortable sentence in prison.
As per the report, Combs has allegedly obtained various contraband items while serving his 50 month sentence for transportation to engage in prostitution in FCI Fort Dix, New Jersey. These items include an illegal phone and various alcohols and spirits.
In an Instagram post shared on Instagram by NBC News, Combs is seen using a phone while serving in the federal prison, with various sources confirming Combs’ extravagant spending to NBC.
“This is not some normal s**t you see in jail. This is some rich s**t,” one of four sources told the network. “It looks crazy, but again, it’s Diddy.”
The report goes on to claim that Combs has fellow inmates who cook and clean for the rapper in Fort Dix, with others hired to do his laundry and provide him with massages.
Several source also told NBC News that Combs regularly uses his phone to scrawl through social media platforms like Instagram, as well as to look at explicit photos sent to him by a former girlfriend.
On the weekends, the hip hop artist also reportedly drinks top-shelf alcohol, including Hennessy, and uses antidepressant drug Remeron that he’s purchased from other inmates.
“Hell yeah, I drank with him,” one of the sources told NBC.
Combs has also reportedly paid inmates to store his physical fan mail in their cells, with one source telling NBC, “It’s so much that he gets. He doesn’t have room for it.”
Two sources also allege that Combs has a “jailbroken” tablet uses to watch a variety of movies, TV shows and documentaries, including the Netflix documentary centered around his alleged crimes, Sean Combs: The Reckoning.
