INDIANA Fever fans had to shut the TV off during the team’s disappointing home loss to the Golden State Valkyries on Wednesday.

It was Caitlin Clark’s first WNBA game back after missing five games with a quad injury.

After the Fever were up nine points late in the first quarter, the Valkyries eventually went on a run to end the first half with a 41-32 lead.

And Golden State didn’t look back after that.

During the halfway mark of the fourth quarter, it turned into a 20-point blowout thanks to the Valkyries’ defense.

The Valkyries led by as many as 23 points as Clark sat on the bench in the final minutes of the Fever’s eventual 80-61 loss.

Indiana shot a poor 30.9 field goal percentage as fans were irate over the team’s performance, with some even admitting to turning off the game before it ended.

“Very tough to watch the Fever right now!” one wrote.

“Turned it off with 4 minutes left. Disgusted. They looked like they had never played together,” another commented.

Barstool Sports head and noted Clark superfan Dave Portnoy also shared that he took the game off early, and for the first time this season, too.

“1st fever game I’ve ever shut off cause it was so pathetic,” he said.

Clark finished with 10 points on 4-of-12 shooting in 25 minutes.

The 2024 Rookie of the Year also recorded five rebounds and six assists but committed four turnovers.

The Fever were a brutal 6-of-27 from three-point territory.

Indiana’s 61 points were its second-fewest of the season.

The Fever have four more games left until the All-Star break.

They’ll hope to learn from their mistakes in their matchup against the Atlanta Dream on Friday night.

“Nobody played well today,” Clark said, via The Athletic.

“Look yourself in the mirror.

“Find ways where you can get better and come back to practice tomorrow and play again on Friday.”
