ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The American Amputee Soccer Association (AASA) is promoting soccer for amputees in the U.S., and Rochester may soon have a presence at the 2026 World Cup in Costa Rica.

Darren Wynne, head coach of Bryant and Stratton Rochester’s men’s soccer team, has joined the AASA’s coaching staff. Wynne will help oversee the team’s defense and video operations.

Wynne is set to join the team as they head to the World Cup qualifiers in Mexico. There are just three spots up for grabs between the eight North and Central American countries.

He previously worked with SUNY Brockport. Wynne led the Bobcats to the 2023 United States Collegiate Athletic Association D1 Small Colleges National Championship.
