The Rookie follows John Nolan (Nathan Fillion), a man in his 40s who becomes the oldest rookie in the LAPD and now serves as a training officer. The ensemble cast also includes Eric Winter, Mekia Cox, Jenna Dewan, Shawn Ashmore and others.
The Rookie started production for the eighth season this past month, which was confirmed on June 4 on X by Deric Augustine, who joined this show's seventh season and plays Officer Miles Penn.
