ABC Cancels Beloved Show After One Season and Fans Are Devastated ...Saudi Arabia

The medical drama, starring Joshua Jackson as the beyond-hot-AF ship's doctor, Max Bankman, and Don Johnson as the Odyssey's captain, Robert Massey, wasn't exactly the most riveting thing on TV, but man, it was such a fun weekly watch.

So I guess this is it. The last episode, "The Wave" was, well... the LAST episode.

*SPOILERS AHEAD*

Captain Massey was reinstated as the head of the ship. Dr. Max made it safely back on board after being stranded after an earthquake in Mexico triggered a tsunami. Avery (Phillipa Soo) realized she really does love Max and wants to be with him even though she's headed to medical school. And Tristan (Sean Teale) was totally cool with the whole thing and didn't make a stink about her choosing Max over him.

Needless to say, I'm not the only one who's disappointed with the news that I won't be setting sail from my couch this fall.

Another fan boldly declared on X, "I'm genuinely so fu----g devastated. As unhinged as this show was, it gave me so much joy and deserves another season."

I guess there are quite a few of us who will need to find a new guilty pleasure show to watch going forward. Anyone have good suggestions? (Please send 'em my way.)
