The San Diego American Indian Health Center will host its Healing Garden Workshop on Saturday, June 28, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at its Bankers Hill location. The event is free and open to patients and community members.
The hands-on workshop focuses on mental wellness through gardening. Attendees will paint terracotta pots, create succulent arrangements, and learn how gardening can support mental health. Master gardeners and community members will lead activities and share information about the healing benefits of connecting with nature.
In addition to the gardening activities, participants will take part in conversations about mental health and receive information about suicide prevention resources and services available through SDAIHC.
All materials and supplies will be provided at no cost, including a personal kit for each participant to take home. The event is open to all skill levels—whether you’re experienced or just getting started.
