Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has enhanced the ex-gratia compensation for fatalities due to wildlife attacks.

Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has raised the compensation for deaths due to wildlife attacks from Rs 6 lakh to Rs 10 lakh to support affected families.

Additionally, damaged homes will qualify for a house under the Antyodaya Housing Scheme or equivalent aid. For damages to kitchens, grain storage, or cattle sheds, Rs 3,000 will be provided, while concrete or compound wall damage will receive Rs 5,000 per meter, up to Rs 25,000, according to official sources.
