DALLAS COWBOYS legend Tom Rafferty has died at the age of 70.
The America’s Team icon won a Super Bowl back in 1978.

His death in Windsor, Colorado, was announced on Thursday.
It is understood he had suffered a stroke.
The news of his death was reported by Kevin Sherrington of the Dallas Morning News.
He was an offensive lineman during his playing career.
Rafferty’s daughter, Rachel Powers, was with him during his final days.
She revealed he had been hospitalized since early May.
Rafferty was drafted by the Cowboys in the fourth round in 1976.
Just two years later he won a historic Super Bowl with the team.
He spent his entire 14-year career with the NFC East giants.
The OL played with legends such as Roger Staubach and Troy Aikman.
Tributes poured into social media after his death was announced.
“Crushed at the passing of 13 yr @dallascowboys Tom Rafferty at 70,” said broadcaster Brad Sham.
“Perfect Landry c-g: quick, smart, tough and reliable.

Ex-ESPN reporter Ed Werder added: “Tom was one of the most insightful veterans on the Cowboys when I first began covering the team.
“He was an exemplary person and exceptional player.
“Sympathies to his family, friends and teammates.”
Rafferty played in two Super Bowls and started 167 consecutive games in his career.
He was also a Penn State Nittany Lions legend during his college days.
The center and guard went into sports equipment sales in his retirement.
