The Ukiah Library will be hosting LOBA Poetry Series featuring Felicia Martinez on Saturday, May 17 at 3 p.m. at 105 N. Main St.
This free event is open to both teens and adults. All are invited to share poems in any form or style or just listen to others.
Felicia Martínez is a writer and artist from Eastern New Mexico and now calls the San Francisco Bay Area home. While an Associate Professor in the Integral Program at Saint Mary’s College of California in Moraga, she had the great pleasure of leading students in discussions across the liberal arts tradition. She now divides her time between the ceramics studio and the word mines, where she can be found writing surreal, experimental, and speculative stories and poetry under the careful watch of a cat named Bat.
Find her words at Asimov’s, The Razor, The Acentos Review, The Deadlands, Star*Line, and others. She is the author of “The Other Lives of Altagracia Sanchez,” available now from Querencia Press.
