(KRON) – An unregistered loaded firearm was found after a traffic stop, according to the Santa Rosa Police Department.
Around 8:10 p.m. on Friday, Santa Rosa police noticed a car with two occupants they said had an equipment-related violation near Burbank Avenue. When officers pulled over the vehicle, they noticed illegal substances, which led to a search of the car.
According to Santa Rosa PD, officers found an unregistered loaded 9mm Smith and Wesson pistol with 15 rounds loaded in the magazine under the passenger seat. The firearm was concealed, said police.

The duo was identified as 30-year-old Stockton resident Aaron Washington and 29-year-old San Jose resident Damoreay McCrary. Both were arrested and booked into the local jail for the following charges:
