Santa Susana Mountains and Western San Gabriel Mountains/Highway 14 Corridor are the focus of an updated wind advisory issued at 11:49 a.m. on Wednesday by the National Weather Service. The advisory is valid from 6 p.m. until Thursday noon.
According to the NWS Los Angeles/Oxnard CA, “North winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph expected.”
“Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result,” according to the NWS. “Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution.”
