Bhubaneswar: Opposition Biju Janata Dal (BJD) has strongly criticized the State Government for its plan to restructure the executive committees of Mission Shakti.

The BJD said that there is no need to restructure Mission Shakti executive committees, at a time when the Mission Shakti members have been staging protests in Bhubaneswar, demanding action on their grievances.

The state government is trying to restructure the executive committee of Mission Shakti and include BJP members in the panel, the BJD alleged.

Mission Shakti women do not belong to any political party. They are only dedicated to providing service. The government should extend cooperation and address their concerns instead of imposing unnecessary changes, it added.
