STRUTHERS — Helen Raye Dutton Cora, 65, passed away Sunday, Jan. 26, 2025.
Helen was born in Youngstown on July 16, 1959. Her parents, Emery and Allie Dutton, died young, and at an early age, Helen experienced a lot of transition. Despite these challenges, Helen endured. She married and welcomed her three children by the age of 21. She was a loving mother.
Later in life, she spent a great deal of time with her grandchildren, whom she adored.
She lived in the Youngstown area most of her life. She loved going to Craig Beach, soap operas, the Steelers, having fun “Dutton-style,” her cat, Penny, and games like bowling, volleyball and gambling of all sorts. Although not Italian, Helen took pride in making very good Italian food and was known for her “Aunt Helen sauce.”
Helen was preceded in death by her brothers, Buddy (Mary), Bobby (Maria), Billy (Sarah) and Kenny (Allie); and sister, Carolyn (Eddie).
She is survived by her brother, Johnny (Patty); daughter, Erika (Randy); sons, Joe (Maggie) and Rob (Jodie); ex-husband, Joe; and grandchildren, Robbie, Belle and Ariel.
