CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) -- A man has been arrested after officials ruled a death investigation in west Charlotte a homicide, according to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department. Just before 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 28, officers responded to the 2300 block of West Boulevard for a welfare check. When they arrived, they found 44-year-old Demond Kente Dixon unconscious. He was taken to a local hospital where he later died, officials said.
