To the Editor: Though I am hesitant to contact due to the economic hardships faced by so many in this county, I also cannot deny that this cause is both something I feel the general public would like to be aware of, as well as something that directly benefits a demographic of students who often do not receive the program funding that other athletic programs are privileged to receive. As a UHS Campus Supervisor I had the opportunity at the end of the 2024 school year to make contacts with many students who loved to fish. I was surprised to find that this large high school did not have a fishing club and let them know that I would help in any way I could if they decided to pursue its creation.
