Derek Ward is accused in the death of Brittini Ward in 2010. The case has been delayed for over a decade due to concerns about Ward's mental fitness, as he had previously been declared unfit for trial.  The judge in this case declared Ward was aware of the charges and the circumstances surrounding the case and allowed the trial to move forward.
