Amy Chow was just 18 years old when she competed at the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta as a member of the Magnificent Seven. The seven young women won the United States’ first-ever Olympic gold medal in women’s team gymnastics, a historic moment for the U.S. Chow also earned an individual silver medal on the uneven bars.

In 2005, she became a Stanford medical student and became a successful pediatrician in Northern California. Chow has since paused her medical career to serve as her two children’s “chauffeur” and revealed to fans in Phoenix that she’s loving her life as a mom.

Amy Chow Was Known as “The Trickster”
While being a part of the Magnificent Seven was one of the highlights of her gymnastics career, Chow wasn’t finished with Olympic gymnastics after the Atlanta Games. She returned to competition and qualified for the 2000 Sydney Olympics. She was one of only two members of the Magnificent Seven, alongside Dominique Dawes, to compete at a second Olympics.
