Authorities Wednesday announced an increased reward of $55,000 for information leading to an arrest and conviction in connection with a five-year-old Lincoln Park-area murder. The family of 22-year-old Gregory “Izik” Ruffin Jr. has added $4,000 to previous monetary pledges of $1,000 by San Diego County Crime Stoppers and $50,000 on the part of Gov. Gavin Newsom’s office for tips that can help investigators solve the case. Ruffin was leaving a friend’s apartment in the 300 block of 47th Street when someone opened fire on him about 11 p.m. on Feb. 24, 2019, according to police.
