Gonzaga Bulldogs dominated the Kansas Jayhawks in the second half of their matchup, ultimately securing a resounding 89-68 victory. The game began with both teams trading baskets and playing at a high level, but it was Gonzaga who truly shined in the second half. Led by their star players, the Bulldogs executed flawlessly on both ends of the court, outscoring Kansas by a significant margin.

Their offense was unstoppable, with precise passing and sharp shooting leading to easy buckets. Defensively, they shut down Kansas' key players and forced turnovers that led to fast break opportunities. It was a masterclass performance from Gonzaga, showcasing their talent and potential as one of the top teams in college basketball.

Gonzaga got whatever it wanted on offense, shooting 60% from the floor and 53% from three. Graduate forward Anton Watson led the way with 21 points, and junior guard Nolan Hickman added 17.

"[It was] disappointing today that there was absolutely no sign of being able to slow them down," head coach Bill Self said postgame.

Hunter Dickinson led Kansas with 15 points on 6-for-15 shooting. Harris tallied a double-double with 10 points and 11 assists.

The No. 5 Bulldogs sprinted away from No. 4 Kansas to start the second half on the way to an 89-68 win over the Jayhawks in the Midwest region. After Kansas led 44-43 at halftime, the Jayhawks took a four-point lead less than 30 seconds into the half.

From there, Gonzaga dominated. The Zags outscored Kansas 37-6 until the six-minute mark in a flurry that included a 14-0 run and a 13-0 run.

Kansas was gassed, facing an early start after an emotional, close victory over Samford late Thursday night. Coach Bill Self said he knew he was in trouble when he turned to his bench partway through the game, looking to make a substitution.   The tired legs played into a painfully familiar scene for fans of the fourth-seeded Jayhawks (23-11). They have struggled with depth, shooting, consistency and injuries; leading scorer Kevin McCullar Jr. (knee) was out for the tournament. During Gonzaga's 15-0 run, the Jayhawks missed 10 straight shots.

With Nembhard controlling the throttle, the Zags had two of their best offensive showings of the year in Salt Lake City. He'll now lead them when they play in the round of 16 in Detroit next Friday, where they will play the winner of 1-seed Purdue and 8-seed Utah State. The time and broadcast details will be announced after all the second-round NCAA Tournament games are complete.
