I was just like, ‘Is this my baby?’” Jordan recalled, adding the whole room was crying. Two days after her son’s birth, Jordan said she had a searing headache. She said the pain “felt like someone had set my body on fire, like I was literally burning from the inside out.” Jordan, who is Black, had been diagnosed with preeclampsia during her pregnancy, a blood pressure condition that can cause hypertension and other complications.Jordan said after her delivery she spent days on various pain medications that didn’t numb the excruciating pain.
