Bhubaneswar: Odisha Vigilance on Thursday intercepted a forest guard in Nabarangpur and seized ill-gotten cash from him. Binayak Sori, Forest Guard of Nandahandi Beat and I/c Jagannathpur Beat, O/o DFO, Nabarangpur was intercepted by the Vigilance sleuths while travelling with suspected ill-gotten cash of Rs.1.53 Lakh. As the forest guard couldn’t explain satisfactorily, the amount was seized, the Vigilance said. Following the interception, house search is being carried out at one location of the forest guard from DA angle. He is being examined to ascertain the source of funds, the Vigilance added.
