CHARLESTON, W.Va. — A joint stipulation agreement for Mountaineer Gas has been approved by the state Public Service Commission which will raise monthly rates for customers. The gas company said their application is part of a five-year, $383 million plan for “infrastructure replacement, system upgrades and expansion projects.” The gas company is expected to increase rates by $9.6 million, bringing an 1.96% increase, or an extra $1.93 per month, to the average residential customer.
