New Delhi: The mortal remains of noted writer and sister of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, Gita Mehta were consigned to flames today. The last rites were performed at the Lodhi Road Crematorium. Her son Aditya Singh Mehta lit the funeral pyre. Her siblings Prem Patnaik, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, family members and other dignitaries were present at the crematorium. Among others member of Parliament Pinaki Mishra, Manas Mangaraj, former MLA Ananga Udaya Singh Deo were also present. Gita Mehta passed away Saturday in New Delhi at the age of 80 years.
