To the Editor: Watching all the fires burning in California, I am wondering what the City of Ukiah has for an evacuation plan. I don’t know if people have noticed all the new houses and apartment buildings that have been built on Gobbi Street. All of these new buildings appear to have only one exit and that is out to Gobbi Street. I can only imagine the nightmare it will be for all those people trying to get out of town at the same time. A fire on the western hills will be a real problem for everyone living near these hills. Please tell us what the evacuation plan is so we can make a plan. – Donna Van Wyhe, Ukiah
