Municipalities in Qatar issued 532 building permits during July, a 28% decline from June's 734, figures released by the Planning and Statistics Authority showed. Data showed the largest decrease in the number of licences was in Al Shamal municipality, which recorded a decline of about 54%, then Al Da'ayen 42%, Al Wakra 39, Al Rayyan 37%, Umm Salal 24%, Al Khor 23%, while Doha recorded an increase of 14% and Al Sheehaniya did not witness any significant change last month. According to geographical distribution, Doha municipality comes at the top of the municipalities where the number of building permits issued were 145 permits, 27% of the total issued permits, while Al Rayyan municipality
