Angela Cartwright recently experienced a moment few actors ever get to have. Six decades after portraying Brigitta von Trapp in The Sound of Music, she watched her granddaughter bring the beloved character to life on stage.
"This weekend, I watched my granddaughter, Addie, perform as Brigitta in her theater production of 'The Sound of Music.' It was an emotional moment, thinking back 60 years to when I played Brigitta in the film," Cartwright captioned an Instagram post on July 21.
"To sit in the audience and watch a new generation bring this beautiful story to life was truly special. And for my grand daughter to play Brigitta, well some moments remind you just how timeless a story—and the memories it creates—can be," she added.
