Petrofac has announced the provisional turnover of facilities (PTOF) for Kuwait National Petroleum Company’s (KNPC) Mina Abdullah Refinery Package 3 (MAB1). The oilfield services provider said it is delivering the Clean Fuels Project in Kuwait in a joint venture (JV) with South Korea’s Samsung Engineering Co Ltd and CB&I Nederland BV (now McDermott International). According to a statement, the project’s scope covered the expansion and upgrade of KNPC’s Mina Abdullah and Mina Al Ahmadi refineries, to develop an integrated complex, increasing processing capacity to 800,000 barrels per day. The production of a new generation of ultra-low sulphur fuel products will boost Kuwait’s global position
