Dozens of elderly people at a nursing home in western Moscow have reportedly been cut off as it went ablaze. Rescuers are at the scene attempting to save them from the fiery trap. The four-story building started burning on Wednesday evening, a local emergency services department has confirmed. Media reports say the building is a private nursing home. Up to 60 elderly people are reportedly housed there, many of whom are confined to their beds. The rescuers led at least 18 people out to safety after some 50 reportedly evacuated on their own.
