Demi Lovato had a health scare after experiencing a possible allergic reaction that put her in the hospital.
The 34-year-old singer posted on Instagram on Monday night, showing a photo of her arm with an IV and wearing a hospital wristband. She added text to the post, stating, “sooooo i’m either allergic to passionfruit or sushi now!”
Lovato did not share any more updates on her symptoms or what brought her to the hospital. It seems as though she has an allergic reaction after eating passionfruit or sushi.
According to TMZ, sources said the former Disney Channel star didn’t spend the night at the hospital and was discharged soon after being examined. Her symptoms reportedly subsided, and she is currently in good health.
Lovato told fans that everything is okay, adding a follow-up Instagram Story, in which she wrote, “i’m fine!!”
The “Skyscraper” singer recently completed the It’s Not That Deep Tour, ending in September. She also celebrated her first wedding anniversary with her husband, Jutes. The couple married in May 2025.
Lovato spoke about her relationship in a recent episode of Kerry Washington‘s Street You Grew Up On podcast.
“I’ve also found my partner,” she said about Jutes. “It’s such a gift. He’s brought so much joy into my life.”
The singer added that she now knows she needed to do some “soul searching” before finding her forever person.
“I wouldn’t have gotten to this place had I not put in the work first,” Lovato continued. “I wouldn’t have been able to appreciate the gift of having the love of my life come into the picture had I still been wrapped up in some of the issues that I had had in the past.”
“But I think he brought so much peace and joy and serenity into my life. I’m just so — I do feel like I’ve found my home in him,” she said.
