The Denver Nuggets comeback victory on Saturday night was great, but it wasn’t all sunshine and rainbows. The Nuggets needed a big fourth quarter and overtime to make up for a slow start, and the fans voiced their displeasure during the first three quarters. The dynamics between the team and the fan base are more complicated than they’ve been in a while, and it has set the tone for a pressure-packed year.
On the latest episode of Pickaxe and Roll, Ryan Blackburn discusses Saturday night’s overtime win over the New Orleans Pelicans, sharing his thoughts on Denver’s slow start, boos from Ball Arena, Trevon Brazile, and Denver’s comeback. He also discusses the relationship between fans, media, and the team/players, whether added pressure is helpful or not, and if the Nuggets can turn things positive with a good week.
