The work involves geological, geochemical and deep geophysical investigations, geothermal resource assessments, three-dimensional conceptual modelling, site selection and preliminary techno-economic assessments.

A key entity responsible for procuring new capacity for power and water in the sultanate, Nama PWP is seeking experienced consultants to support the assessment and potential development of the geothermal resource.
The project aligns with Oman Vision 2040 and net-zero targets by diversifying power sources away from natural gas, leveraging low- to medium-enthalpy binary-cycle technologies for regional hot springs, it stated.
The deadline for submitting the tenders has been set at November 30.
