How to watch Street Fighter – is it streaming?

Fighting game fans are being truly spoiled in 2026. Earlier this year we got Mortal Kombat II bringing fatalities back to the big screen and now it's Street Fighter's turn.

Marking Hollywood's second attempt at trying to bring the game to the big screen, Street Fighter promises a colourful, vibrant and faithful adaptation of the games right down to the sound effects players have come to love.

Starring Noah Centineo, Andrew Koji and Callina Liang alongside a couple of big WWE stars, the film centres around the titular fighters as they take part in the World Warrior Tournament to see who is the best.

After the 1994 film starring Jean-Claude Van Damme flopped with critics and audiences, the franchise was put on hold for over 30 years before finally being revived by comedy director Kitao Sakurai, who worked on the recent season of the Netflix show Beef.

Whether they've managed to do the impossible and bring the game to life in a satisfying way remains to be seen.

Thankfully, there's not long to wait. Read on to find out all you need to know about how and where to watch it.

Street Fighter will be available to watch in cinemas and there's not long to wait as it releases on Friday 16 October.

If, for some reason, you want to revisit the original 1994 Street Fighter film, it's currently streaming on Netflix.

    Is Street Fighter on streaming?

No. Street Fighter isn't available on streaming services yet and likely won't be for some time.

Street Fighter cast – who stars in the film?

Street Fighter brings together a stacked cast – in this case, quite literally – that mixes rising stars like Noah Centineo, Andrew Koji and Callina Liang with legendary WWE champions like Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes, whose hair is very much its own character in this one.

The fun and vibrant tone of the film also means fans can expect all their favourite characters, including series mainstays like Ryu and Chun-Li alongside Blanka, played by Jason Mamoa, and Guile, played by the aforementioned Cody Rhodes.

If you've played the games, you'll know that Street Fighter follows a group of contestants in the World Warrior Tournament and the film is no different.

This adaptation sees estranged fighters Ken Masters and Ryu reuniting alongside Chun-Li to take on the latest batch of entrants in the World Warrior Tournament, including the sinister M Bison, played here by The Suicide Squad actor David Dastmalchian.
