Christina Boyd (Amy Robbins) has been left devastated by Sally Metcalfe's (Sally Dynevor) reaction to her big secret in Coronation Street.
Last month, Christina made a sizeable realisation at the undertakers. While helping Lucy Parkinson (Anya Dewin) with her mum Rachel's funeral arrangements, she realised that Rachel was her daughter.
As viewers know, Lucy is living with her dad Richie's (Nathan Sussex) cousin Tim Metcalfe (Joe Duttine) and wife Sally. Richie is behind bars for Rachel's death, though a number of telling comments have suggested that his teenage daughter could be the real killer.
After drowning her sorrows in the Rovers, Christina returned home to doting partner George Shuttleworth (Tony Maudsley) and gazed lovingly at a picture of a baby. He assumed that it was a photograph of her daughter Daisy, though she tearfully explained that it was in fact Rachel.
During their conversation, Christina revealed that her firstborn was conceived following an affair with her boss, and after three months of trying to look after her, she handed the baby over to him and his wife, who was unable to have her own children.
George warned her to proceed with caution – she shouldn't tell Lucy the truth, or there could be a risk of her spiralling further.
In today's episode, with help from Todd Grimshaw (Gareth Pierce), she met with one of Rachel's neighbours to try and get more information on her death.
The woman, Peggy, said that Rachel seemed nervous around Richie and that it may not have been a happy relationship. Christina and Todd then relaid this information to George, saying that it seemed Richie had a darker side and that they wouldn't settle until they knew the truth.
Later that day, Sally and Lucy arrived at the funeral directors with some Parkinson family photo albums, looking to arrange a plaque for Rachel's grave. The trio flicked through the photo albums, with Christina showing particular interest in Rachel's graduation photo.
This was the first time she'd been given a glimpse at her estranged daughter's life.
Later that day, Lucy noticed that one of the pictures had gone missing from the photo album. Sally said that it was probably still at the undertakers, and walked over to try and find it.
Sally discovered it inside of Christina's handbag, and instead of trying to lie about why it was there, she came clean. Sally was gobsmacked by the revelation, though insisted that she stay well clear of Lucy for fear of upsetting her again.
Christina wondered whether an appropriate moment might arise in time, though Sally was doubtful.
Is Christina about to make a big mistake by approaching Lucy?
