Anti-migrant activist Daniel Thomas – also known as Danny Tommo – has been charged with criminal damage after he was filmed slashing a boat in the English Channel with an emergency responder on board.
Tommo, 37, has also been charged for failing to disclose the PIN to his phone.
It comes after he yesterday (September 23) livestreamed him approaching the vessel on his YouTube from a speedboat in the Channel, before he was seen hacking at it with a knife as the rescuer looked on.
Tommo, of no fixed abode, was remanded into custody to appear at Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court on tomorrow, Hampshire police said in a statement.
The force added: “The charges follow an allegation made to police that damage had been caused to a boat in the Channel whilst an emergency responder was on board.”
