The College Swimming League (CSL) will award each of the four schools in the championship match $25,000 for a total of $100,000 in prize money being awarded. Team scores are combined, meaning there will be four schools at the final rather than four men’s teams and four women’s teams where schools could vary.
The CSL will have just under $1 million going towards travel, accommodations, and prize money for its first season. Travel and accommodations are being covered for all 12 schools competing in the league’s first season.
The CSL kicks off on Thursday, September 24th with its first match in Westmont, Illinois. There are six regular season matches, each featuring four schools. Preview for each match will be available the day of each match.
Match 7 will be the “wild card” match featuring teams ranked 4th-7th compete for the final spot in the championship match. The championship match will feature the top three teams from the regular season and the winner of the wild card match. Those four schools in the championship match will be awarded the $25,000. Both the wild card and championship matches will take place in Indianapolis, Indiana.
