Isabella Green from Weddington, North Carolina, has announced her intention to swim and study at the University of Florida beginning in the 2028-29 school year. The first public commitment for the Gators’ class of 2032, she wrote on social media:
“I am so incredibly grateful and thrilled to announce my verbal commitment to The University of Florida! First, I want to thank the Lord for guiding me every step of the way. I want to give a special thanks to my entire family for being a constant source of support for me- and endless thanks to my friends. I want to extend my thanks to Coach William for encouragement early on. I also want to thank Coach Miles for years of support and a special thanks to Coach Kevin, who I am forever grateful for. Lastly, I want to thank the entire Gators staff: Coach Nesty, Coach Whitney, Coach Jack, Coach Kristen, and Coach Chelsea for this incredible opportunity to be a part of such an amazing program. GO GATORS! ”
Green swims year-round with SwimMAC Carolina and specializes in breaststroke and IM, for which we named her a “Best of the Rest” recruit on our Way Too Early list of top girls swimmers in the high school class of 2028. Green also shows versatility with a Winter Juniors cut in the 100 back and a Futures qualification in the 100 fly.
Most of her best performances come from SwimMAC’s November LC/SC Invitational last fall, which featured LCM in prelims in SCY and finals. There, she placed 3rd in the 100 breast, 4th in the 200 breast, and 5th in the 100 fly and 200 IM, with new lifetime bests in the LCM 50 free (28.09) and 100 fly (1:05.80), and SCY 100 breast (1:01.16), 200 breast (2:12.80), 100 fly (55.59), and 200 IM (2:01.87).
At the North Carolina LSC Senior Long Course Championships in July, Green dropped 2.7 seconds in the 100 fly to go 1:03.13 and she improved her 100 back time from 1:07.96 at the November meet to 1:04.52.
Green kicked off the 2026-27 short-course season with a trio of best times at the SwimMAC Intrasquad Shootout. She broke 24 seconds for the first time in the 50 free (23.91) and shaved a tick off both her 100 back (55.60) and 100 fly (55.47) times.

100 breast – 1:01.16 200 breast – 2:12.80 200 IM – 2:01.87 100 back – 55.69 100 fly –55.47Florida had three sub-minute breaststrokers last season (Anita Bottazzo, 56.87), Molly Mayne, 58.88), and Grace Rabb (59.70). Two more (Anna Moore and Grace Rainey) broke 1:01 in the 100. Rabb and Bottazzo were also 2:06s in the 200, while Mayne, Moore, and Rainey went sub-2:10.
Green is already fast enough to score in the ‘C’ final of the 100 breast at SEC Championships; it took 2:12.62 in the 200 breast and 2:00.73 in the 200 IM to get a second swim at the 2026 conference meet.
