After six events across six countries, from Bahrain in January to Australia in August, 32 of the sport's best players meet at the AFAS Arena to contest this year's crown.
Reigning champion Michael van Gerwen, who beat Luke Littler in last year's final, will begin his title defence on Thursday against Daryl Gurney.
Littler, the World No.1, is among those entering the fray as the second round wraps up on Friday.
