Olivia Wong from Honolulu, Hawaii has announced her commitment to continue her academic and athletic careers at Tulane beginning in fall 2027.
“Excited to announce my verbal commitment to Tulane University!!! So excited to experience this new chapter of my life in New Orleans
Thank you to God, my parents, my brother, and all my amazing friends for the support and love you’ve given me throughout my life. Thank you to Coach Ivan and my ISC teammates for everything, I wouldn’t be the person I am without you guys.
Finally, thank you Coach Amanda and @tulaneswimdive for this incredible opportunity to swim at the Division I level!!!
SO EXCITED FOR THE FUTURE!! GO ROLL WAVE”
Wong swims for Iolani Swim Club and most recently competed at Futures in Sacramento. There she was highlighted by a lifetime best 31.64 50 back during the team’s 200 medley relay. Her highest finish came in the 200 back with a 2:27.32 for 35th.
Back in November, she swam to a Hawaii Senior Championship title in the 400 IM swimming to a lifetime best 4:30.53. That was a three second drop from her previous best which she swam in February 2025. She is currently a senior at Iolani School.
Wong’s Best SCY Times Are:
200 free: 1:50.56 500 free: 5:00.59 200 back: 2:03.90 400 IM: 4:30.53The Tulane women finished 5th out of nine teams at the 2026 American Conference Championships with 905.5 points, finishing less than 100 points behind 4th place Florida International as they scored 990 points. Lise Coetzee led the way for Tulane with 85 individual points including a win in the 200 free with a 1:46.77.
Based on her best times, Wong already has the potential to make an immediate impact at the conference level. Her best time in the 200 free would have made the ‘B’ final while her 500 free would have made the ‘C’ final. She is just off what it took to make it back in the 200 back as it took a 2:03.51.
Wong will arrive next fall as a member of the class of 2031 along with Joey Dumm and Margaret Lietzau.
