NORTH BLOOMFIELD — Ronald Jerl Koon, 76, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, Sept. 6, 2026, at his home.
He was born June 23, 1950, in Warren, the son of Carl Stanford and Dorothy Irene Swonger Koon.
Ronald retired as a welder at GE Ohio Lamp. After retirement, he worked for Grinnell Corporation. He was a veteran of the United States Army and attended North Bloomfield Assembly of God.
He loved woodworking, mowing his lawn, motorcycles and animals. Ronald loved his family — his children and grandchildren — and he raised four German shepherds.
He is survived by his wife, Judith Mroczka Koon of North Bloomfield, whom he married March 8, 1990; sons, David (Sherri) Noble, Keith (Tammy) Koon, Craig (Reena) Koon and Robert (Leasha) Koon; daughters, Stacey (Cory) Evans and Jessica (Matt) Blake; 25 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sister, Linda Cain; brothers, Roger Koon, Larry (Pamela) Koon and Gary Koon; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Susan Tenney; and brother, Randy Koon.
Services will be 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 11, 2026, at North Bloomfield Assembly of God.
Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 10, 2026, at the Carl W. Hall Funeral Home and from 10 to 11 a.m., one hour prior to the service on Friday, at the church.
Interment will be in Brownwood Cemetery, North Bloomfield.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Carl W. Hall Funeral Home.
