Wisconsin is entering a crucial part of the Luke Fickell era. This is Year 4 for him as the coach for the Badgers, and the program hasn’t taken the next steps like they would have hoped for.
The game is also extremely important to the Fighting Irish, but for a different reason. Notre Dame was one of the most trendy picks during the offseason to go on to win the College Football Playoff. The Fighting Irish have a ton of talent on both sides of the ball, and quarterback CJ Carr is one of the very best in the country.
